Welcome to EPC 2024

Dear EPC Members, Dear Pancreas Lovers, Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 56th Meeting of the European Pancreatic Club (EPC), which will be held in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, from 26 to 29 June 2024.

The Organising Committee has put together an amazing scientific programme with highly interesting scientific sessions, multidisciplinary debates and special lectures. In addition, oral presentations and chaired poster sessions will continue to be the heart of the meeting. For the first time, we will have parallel sessions so that you can always find a session that interests you.

On Wednesday 26 June we will have two parallel scientific pre-congress activities for basic and clinical scientists. For basic scientists, a highly interesting postgraduate course will focus on "The Power of Technology", with additional lectures on translational topics "From bench to bedside". In parallel, the first joint EPC-ESGE Workshop on Diagnosis and Therapy of Pancreatic Diseases will take place, with debates between endoscopists, surgeons and young pancreatologists. A conference in memory of our dear Claudio Bassi will complete the day's activities.

In addition to the above, there will be innovation rooms where you will have the opportunity to meet experts, receive hands-on training and learn about the latest technological developments.

The EPC meeting will be a unique opportunity to interact and promote networking and research collaboration. A place to find many interesting people with whom to share scientific ideas and strengthen friendships.

I hope that all these scientific initiatives will encourage you to attend the Congress.

We look forward to seeing you in Santiago!

Dr. J. Enrique Domínguez-Muñoz
EPC President 2024
